Terms of Use

You must be at least 18 years old to use DentistUP. DentistUP is intended for dentists and adult dental learners preparing for professional board, licensing, or related examinations. The App may contain oral-disease photographs, radiographs, and other clinical educational material.

DentistUP is an independent educational product. Socket Science is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by, or acting on behalf of any examination board, licensing authority, dental regulator, university, or government body. Names such as AFK, NDEB, INBDE, JCNDE, GDC, ORE, and ADC may be used only to identify the examinations for which users may be preparing. DentistUP does not contain official or recalled examination questions.

Exam formats, standards, guidelines, and clinical knowledge change. DentistUP does not guarantee that any content is complete, error-free, or current; that a particular topic will appear on an examination; that your App performance will predict your examination result; or that using DentistUP will result in passing, licensure, admission, employment, or any other outcome.

You may access DentistUP through Apple, Google, email/password, or guest access. You are responsible for maintaining control of your credentials and all activity under your account. You may not sell, share, rent, sublicense, or transfer your account. Guest accounts may be unrecoverable if the App is deleted — linking a sign-in method is strongly recommended.

Credit packages are one-time consumable in-app purchases, not subscriptions. Purchases on iOS are processed by Apple App Store. Purchases on Android are processed by Google Play. The store checkout screen controls the final price, currency, taxes, and payment terms. We do not receive your complete payment-card details.

Apple users may request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Google Play users may request a refund through Google Play. Where Socket Science may process a refund, we may approve a full voluntary refund when at least 90% of every credit type delivered in that transaction remains unused. This policy does not limit non-waivable rights under applicable consumer law. Deleting the App or your account does not itself create a right to a refund.

AI explanations may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular examination. AI output is educational assistance, not authoritative professional advice. You will not use AI output for patient-specific diagnosis or treatment. You will not submit patient information or confidential personal data.

DentistUP, including its software, design, branding, question bank, cases, explanations, and original content, is owned by or licensed to Socket Science. You receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use DentistUP for your own non-commercial exam preparation. You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, bulk-download, sell, or use App content to train AI systems, create competing products, or circumvent access controls.

You may not use DentistUP for unlawful or fraudulent purposes; obtain multiple accounts to claim one-time rewards; manipulate credits or performance data; use automated scripts or bots; probe or attack security controls; or disclose confidential examination content obtained in violation of an examination agreement.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, content, prices, or credit costs. A change to future pricing does not reduce credits already validly held in your account. Features labelled "Coming Soon" are not part of the current service.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to address violations, prevent fraud, comply with law, or protect users and Socket Science. You may delete your account at any time through the App. Account deletion is permanent.

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada. Before filing a claim, contact dr.socketscience@gmail.com to attempt informal resolution. Disputes are subject to the courts of British Columbia, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rights.

We will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required when we make material changes. Continuing to use DentistUP after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
