Built by a dentist who needed a better way to prepare
I am a dentist, and I built DentistUP after failing my board examination twice. I did not simply need more notes. I needed a way to discover what I did not know and understand how familiar concepts could be tested in unfamiliar ways.
I created a structured, AI-assisted question-based study system that let me work deeply through each topic, encounter many forms of the same underlying concept, and expose knowledge gaps immediately. Once I completed topic-level practice, I used full 100-question mock exams to test whether that knowledge held together under exam conditions.
On my third attempt, I recognized 14 questions that closely matched patterns I had practised and another 9 that were similar. That experience became the foundation of DentistUP. I am now making this study system available to other dentists who want a clearer, more active and more measurable way to prepare.

Who is DentistUP designed for?+
Dentists and adult dental learners aged 18 and older who are preparing for professional board, licensing, or equivalency examinations. The app may contain clinical images of oral diseases and is not suitable for children.
Is the free AFK mock really free?+
Yes. The 100-question AFK mock exam on this website is completely free. No account, no payment, and no email address required to begin.
Do I need an account to take the website mock?+
No account is needed. Your progress is saved locally in your browser so you can resume an unfinished attempt on the same device.
Are these official NDEB, INBDE or ORE questions?+
No. DentistUP contains independently created educational material. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NDEB, INBDE, JCNDE, GDC, ORE, ADC or any other examination or licensing authority, and does not contain official or recalled examination questions.
When can I see the correct answers and explanations?+
On the website mock, answers and explanations are revealed after you submit the full exam. In the app, Deep Study questions show correct answers and explanations after each question in eligible practice modes.
What is Deep Study?+
Deep Study is DentistUP's primary learning system. You work through 29 dental branches topic by topic, completing three sequential ten-question tests per topic. The system tracks your accuracy per topic and identifies your strongest and weakest areas.
How does Review & Refine work?+
Questions you answer incorrectly, and questions you mark as 'Not Sure' even when correct, automatically enter your Review Pool. A question leaves the pool only when you later answer it correctly without uncertainty.
How does DentistUP use AI?+
AI Credits unlock focused educational explanations for specific questions or topics. You can ask the AI to explain why an answer is correct, simplify a concept, provide a clinical example, highlight exam memory points, or compare answer choices. AI responses are educational assistance, not authoritative professional advice.
Do Study Credits or AI Credits expire?+
No. Credits do not expire while your account is active. They are tied to the purchasing account and cannot be transferred to another account.
Does DentistUP guarantee that I will pass?+
No. DentistUP provides educational preparation materials and does not guarantee any examination outcome. Exam formats, standards, and clinical knowledge change, and your results depend on many factors beyond any study tool.
Does the app contain clinical images?+
Yes. Visual Cases use dental photographs and radiographs as part of the educational experience. The app is intended for adults aged 18 and older.
